Meet the fox

Cocolooms started with two foxes and a very excited 20-month-old!

It was autumn in London. We were sitting at the dining table one evening, our little family of three - when two foxes wandered into our garden. Until then, our son had only ever seen foxes in the pages of his picture books. Seeing them live, in his own garden, our son couldn't hide his excitement. He clapped his hands, called out names for them, and lit up in a way we hadn't seen before. That moment stayed with us. Which is why, when I sat down to build Cocolooms, the fox was the only character it could be.

I have always loved clothes, fabric, colous, the way a beautifully made piece can change how a little one feels the moment they put it on. Starting a small clothing brand had been a quiet dream for years, but it stayed a dream until our son arrived and with him came a rush of creative energy I couldn't ignore. Cocolooms is what came out of that.

Every piece in our collection is chosen with the same question in mind: would we dress our own son in this? We look for organic, sustainable fabrics because they are gentle on small skin, breathable through long play afternoons, and softer with every wash. We look for care in the detail, a hand-finished seam, a print worth lingering over, buttons that stay on. And we bring it all together in small, considered collections, so every piece feels like something worth reaching for again and again.

We are doing this the slow way on purpose. We don't chase seasons. We choose pieces meant to become favourites - worn until they are outgrown, then handed down. Because the world our children will inherit matters as much as the clothes they grow out of.
